一、概述
12位多圈絕對(duì)值編碼器是專門為執(zhí)行器行業(yè)和自動(dòng)化行業(yè)研制開發(fā)的,可測(cè)量和記憶角度的絕對(duì)位置,在量程范圍內(nèi)旋轉(zhuǎn)角度和旋轉(zhuǎn)圈數(shù)信息具有唯一性。
采用SSI接口(同步串行接口)傳輸單圈角度和多圈圈數(shù)值(RS-232可選配),該編碼器單圈最大分辨率為4096(0.087度),多圈最多可記憶4096圈,單5V工作電壓,掉電不丟失信號(hào)(不需要電池供電,機(jī)械記憶),機(jī)械零位可任意設(shè)定?垢蓴_能力強(qiáng),抗震、防塵。
二、基本工作原理
該編碼器屬于精密光電、磁混合編碼器,它集精密機(jī)、電、光、磁技術(shù)于一體。單圈角度由磁性編碼器完成,多圈圈數(shù)通過6只光電編碼盤記憶,所以編碼器記憶的是絕對(duì)位置信息,無論編碼器上電與否,編碼器都能記憶量程范圍內(nèi)的任何角度和圈數(shù)。
6只編碼盤記憶的是格雷碼信息,通過CPU轉(zhuǎn)換成自然二進(jìn)制碼輸出。

四、電路接口
信號(hào)輸出采用5芯扁排線連接,信號(hào)線排序如圖3所示。引腳定義見表1。

注意事項(xiàng):
1、 多圈絕對(duì)值編碼器軸端和客戶安裝端(φ5)同心度<0.20mm;
2、 軸承型號(hào)為MR128ZZ(12*8*3.5)軸承,為輕載軸承,軸端嚴(yán)禁擊打或承受較大的負(fù)載;
六、SSI通信協(xié)議
SSI通信內(nèi)容包括角度數(shù)據(jù)讀出和機(jī)械零位設(shè)置兩種。
為方便用戶使用,本編碼器可由用戶通過程序在線設(shè)置機(jī)械零位。下面是兩種模式的通信協(xié)議和時(shí)序。圖4為角度讀出時(shí)序,圖5為機(jī)械零位設(shè)置時(shí)序。
(一)角度讀出時(shí)序

1、CS必須在CLK的高電平期間變?yōu)榈汀?/div>
2、CS變?yōu)榈秃,?jīng)過最短tCLK的時(shí)間后,在CLK下降沿讀出數(shù)據(jù),連續(xù)的24個(gè)下降沿讀出24位數(shù)據(jù),tCLK≥2us(注意:同樣需要有24個(gè)上升沿)。
3、CLK變低后,至少保持tCLK/2的低電平時(shí)間。
4、前12位數(shù)據(jù)是多圈的圈數(shù)(高位在前,低位在后),后12位數(shù)據(jù)是單圈角度值(高位在前,低位在后)。
5、任何時(shí)刻CS拉高后,通信立刻終止。
6、需要注意的是:通信結(jié)束后要及時(shí)將CS變?yōu)楦唠娖剑駝t編碼器不會(huì)退出通信程序。
 
(二)機(jī)械零位設(shè)置時(shí)序
    機(jī)械零位設(shè)置時(shí)序見圖5,用戶可以通過程序?qū)⒕幋a器的任何位置設(shè)置成零點(diǎn)位置,有利于用戶安裝調(diào)試。

l  機(jī)械零位設(shè)置時(shí)序注意事項(xiàng):
1) 零位設(shè)置命令輸入
1、CS必須在CLK的低電平期間變?yōu)榈汀?/div>
2、CS變?yōu)榈秃,?jīng)過最短tCLK的時(shí)間后,連續(xù)產(chǎn)生8個(gè)上升沿和8個(gè)下降沿,在第8個(gè)脈沖的下降沿后編碼器進(jìn)入機(jī)械零位設(shè)置階段,tCLK≥2us。
3、每個(gè)上升沿CLK變高后,至少保持tCLK/2的高電平時(shí)間。
4、機(jī)械零位設(shè)置階段時(shí)間較長(zhǎng),tZERO≥18ms。
5、任何時(shí)刻CS拉高后,零位設(shè)置過程立刻終止。
6、需要注意的是:零位設(shè)置結(jié)束后要及時(shí)將CS變?yōu)楦唠娖,否則編碼器不會(huì)退出通信程序。
2) 機(jī)械零位設(shè)置階段
    編碼器進(jìn)入機(jī)械零位設(shè)置階段后,經(jīng)過計(jì)算將各項(xiàng)數(shù)據(jù)寫入CPU內(nèi)部FlashRAM,因?yàn)閿?shù)據(jù)寫入時(shí)間比較緩慢,此階段最短需要tZERO的時(shí)間,tZERO≥18ms。
3) 設(shè)置狀態(tài)輸出
編碼器在CS變低后DO保持低電平狀態(tài),機(jī)械零位設(shè)置階段完成后會(huì)輸出設(shè)置狀態(tài),當(dāng)DO由低變?yōu)楦,表示本次機(jī)械零位設(shè)置成功,否則一直保持低電平,需重新設(shè)置。
七、RS-232C串行通信(用戶選配)
   RS-232C采用8為數(shù)據(jù)異步通信格式,波特率為9600,RS-232C異步通信數(shù)據(jù)格式見圖6。

編碼器的工作原理及作用:
它是一種將旋轉(zhuǎn)位移轉(zhuǎn)換成一串?dāng)?shù)字脈沖信號(hào)的旋轉(zhuǎn)式傳感器,這些脈沖能用來控制角位移,如果編碼器與齒輪條或螺旋絲杠結(jié)合在一起,也可用于測(cè)量直線位移。
它產(chǎn)生電信號(hào)后由數(shù)控制置CNC、可編程邏輯控制器PLC、控制系統(tǒng)等來處理。這些傳感器主要應(yīng)用在下列方面:機(jī)床、材料加工、電動(dòng)機(jī)反饋系統(tǒng)以及測(cè)量和控制設(shè)備。在ELTRA編碼器中角位移的轉(zhuǎn)換采用了光電掃描原理。讀數(shù)系統(tǒng)是基于徑向分度盤的旋轉(zhuǎn),該分度由交替的透光窗口和不透光窗口構(gòu)成的。此系統(tǒng)全部用一個(gè)紅外光源垂直照射,這樣光就把盤子上的圖像投射到接收器表面上,該接收器覆蓋著一層光柵,稱為準(zhǔn)直儀,它具有和光盤相同的窗口。接收器的工作是感受光盤轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)所產(chǎn)生的光變化,然后將光變化轉(zhuǎn)換成相應(yīng)的電變化。

編碼器一般分為增量型與絕對(duì)型,它們存著最大的區(qū)別:在增量編碼器的情況下,位置是從零位標(biāo)記開始計(jì)算的脈沖數(shù)量確定的,而絕對(duì)型編碼器的位置是由輸出代碼的讀數(shù)確定的。在一圈里,每個(gè)位置的輸出代碼的讀數(shù)是唯一的; 因此,當(dāng)電源斷開時(shí),絕對(duì)型編碼器并不與實(shí)際的位置分離。如果電源再次接通,那么位置讀數(shù)仍是當(dāng)前的,有效的; 不像增量編碼器那樣,必須去尋找零位標(biāo)記。
現(xiàn)在編碼器的廠家生產(chǎn)的系列都很全,一般都是專用的,如電梯專用型編碼器、機(jī)床專用編碼器、伺服電機(jī)專用型編碼器等,并且編碼器都是智能型的,有各種并行接口可以與其它設(shè)備通訊。

The model R20-P is an optical shaft encoder in a 2" diameter x 1-3/4" long housing that can be face mounted using three 6-32 x .25" deep mounting holes on a 1.75" diameter bolt circle. RL General Purpose and Heavy Duty

The model RL rotary shaft encoder comes with a 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 8mm, 10mm, or 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 threaded shaft for heavy duty applications where a face mounted encoder is required. The rugged 3" diameter by 2-3/8" deep enclosure is constructed of 1/4" thick aluminum with a 5, 6, or 10 pin connector on the side.

RL-P Programmable Heavy Duty Shaft Encoder

The RL-P rotary shaft encoder directly couples to a rotating shaft and produces a specified number of square wave output pulses per revolution of the shaft. The number of pulses per revolution is determined by setting configuration switches accessible through an access port near the connector. Any one of a predefined set of pulses per revolution are available.

It comes with a 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 8mm, 10mm, or 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 threaded shaft for heavy duty applications where a face mounted encoder is required. The rugged 3" diameter by 2-3/8" deep enclosure is constructed of 1/4" thick aluminum with a 5 or 6 pin connector on the side.

A single-turn, absolute encoder generates a multi-bit binary code word indicating the angular position of the shaft. Each equal sized segment of one shaft rotation is indicated by a unique value. When power is first applied the shaft position is immediately known without having to re-home, even if the shaft is moved when power is off.

11-bit Modular Absolute Encoder

The MR30 is a full function 11-bit, single-turn, digital, absolute position encoder for applications requiring up to 1024 uniquely identifiable codes per revolution. It uses a patented, cost saving technology that relaxes the precise alignment tolerances typically required by conventional absolute encoders by an order of magnitude without sacrificing accuracy. 10-bit Miniature Absolute Encoder

The Photocraft SR12 is a full function, 10-bit, single-turn, digital, rotary absolute position encoder intended for applications requiring miniature size, low cost, and up to 1024 uniquely identifiable positions per revolution. The SR12 outputs the position information in either digital parallel or serial formats, or 0-10vdc analog format. In analog format the SR12 can function as a non-contact potentiometer.

10-bit Industrial Absolute Encoders

The R30 is a 10-bit, single-turn, digital, rotary absolute position encoder intended for industrial applications requiring up to 1024 uniquely identifiable positions per revolution. The SR30 provides up to 10-bits and uses a patented, cost saving technology that relaxes the precise alignment tolerances of conventional absolute encoders by an order of magnitude without sacrificing accuracy. The result is a fully functional, yet lower cost alternative. The SR30 updates the outputs at 1KHz and the SR31 updates at 3KHz. 

Wheeled encoders more accurately track the conveyor belt or other material than shaft encoders. Two problems with shaft encoders in this application are: (1) slippage of the conveyor belt on the roller, and (2) inaccuracy of roller diameters. Both of these contribute to inaccuracies that reduce the overall efficiency of a material handling sortation system or precision measuring system. Wheeled encoders ride directly on the moving material, use a wheel tread having a high coefficient of friction, and have a very low starting torque resulting in virtually no slippage of the wheels on the belt. In addition, the wheels are precision ground with exacting tolerances, versus a roller which has a much larger tolerance and its circumference seldom translates into an integral number of encoder pulses per unit of linear movement.

RH - For precise Linear Measuring Applications
The RH encoder, also known as a Pulse Position Indicator (PPI), generates tracking pulses for web applications, and in particular for material handling sortation applications when used with barcode laser scanners or CCD vision systems. It typically is equipped with two 12 inch or 30 centimeter circumference measuring wheels that ride directly on the conveyor belt or web, eliminating any slippage problems typically encountered with shaft encoders. With its double wheel construction, the encoder is self-aligning when allowed to pivot freely from its integral arm. The encoder’s weight is sufficient to maintain contact when mounted above the moving material. Special mounting accessories are also available for mounting the encoder from below.
For High Resolution Applications the RH-1800/3600 encoder generates both 1800 and 3600 pulses per revolution, making it suitable for high resolution printing and CCD scanner applications. When used with precision 12” circumference measuring wheels (MW-1-B) it generates 150 and 300 pulses per inch of linear movement. Please inquire about other similar models.

RH-P - User Selectable Pulses per Revolution
The RH-P encoder, also known as a Pulse Position Indicator (PPI), generates tracking pulses for web applications, and in particular for material handling sortation applications when used with barcode laser scanners or CCD vision systems. The number of pulses per each revolution of the wheel is selectable by setting configuration switches. It typically is equipped with two 12 inch or 30 centimeter circumference measuring wheels that ride directly on the conveyor belt or web, eliminating any slippage problems typically encountered with shaft encoders. With its double wheel construction, the encoder is self-aligning when allowed to pivot freely from its integral arm. The encoder’s weight is sufficient to maintain contact when mounted above the moving material.
